White chair – Saturn Steps
The Saturn Steps are the quickest way on foot to get from my home down to the Castro District and the subway to downtown. A few weeks ago, this chair appeared outside one of the cottages along the steps. I’ve been re-exploring film lately, carrying my old 35 mm film camera to and from work. Hiking up the hill on my first afternoon of this regime, the light seemed right to grab this shot.

Between the utility lines and and the line’s powering the electric buses, the air space above the intersection of Castro and 18th streets is a maze of wires–fitting for the main intersection in this high-energy San Francisco neighborhood.
