Taken at the very last blink of daylight. Without that flush of light on the fence, I don’t think I would have wanted to record this image.
Dead Datsun – Healdsburg
My friends and I were walking from dinner back to where we were staying, when those in the front called out to me not to miss the truck, knowing it would appeal. I made several images on the spot, then returned to make more on my 6 a.m. walk the next day. This one–my favorite–comes from the second set.
Rear steps – Healdsburg, CA
Spent last weekend in this town in the Sonoma wine country. Many historic homes surrounding downtown. This one was showing some wear–one of the things I like best in a house. Why? If I could tell you that adequately, I might not have photograph them. Used a tilt-shift lens to bring both the tree and the doorway into focus.
